Synthesizers
Analog, digital and hybrid instruments forming the harmonic core of RG-X.
Born and raised in Ansbach, Germany, his musical journey began long before music became a profession.
After completing his Abitur, he studied Sports and Music, with a strong classical focus on voice, piano and conducting. This classical education shaped his understanding of harmony, arrangement and musical expression — foundations that still influence his work today.
But the story started much earlier.
At the age of fourteen, he founded his first school band and began performing regularly on stage. Around the same time, another passion was born: synthesizers. What started with the first instruments eventually developed into a lifelong fascination and an ever-growing collection of electronic instruments.
From 1986 to 1992, he was active as a DJ, discovering music from a completely different perspective — rhythm, energy, dance floors and the direct connection between music and an audience.
Alongside electronic music, live performance always remained an important part of his life. Until 2008, he continued to perform regularly with his band.
Since 2010, his focus has increasingly shifted toward songwriting and music production, combining decades of musical experience with modern electronic production.
Despite his classical education, his musical roots ultimately lead back to Funk and Soul — music built on groove, emotion and personality. Synthesizers, drum machines and electronic sounds became the bridge between those roots and his own musical language.
One element is especially important to his work:
Almost every lyric he writes is based on his own life.
The people, places, relationships, memories, losses, journeys and experiences behind the songs are real. Rather than inventing stories, he transforms moments from his life into music.
The major exception is RayBorg — a science-fiction universe in which reality and imagination meet, allowing him to explore a completely different form of musical storytelling.
After decades of classical training, live performance, DJ culture, Funk, Soul and electronic experimentation, his music today is not defined by one genre.
It is the result of an entire musical life.
Classical structure and musical training meet the depth, movement and architecture of modern synthesizers.
